SO, HOW WE CAN HELP?

Training
& Support

Training from an experienced finance professional, like The Numbers Guy, is invaluable to business owners. Tim can provide dedicated 1:1  training sessions to help you up skill in all areas of finance and accounting, from the specifics of an accounting package, like Xero, to ways to solve business financial problems, like cash flow problems.

Fixed price training packages are available for $395 each and include 4 hours of 1:1 sessions with Tim, The Numbers Guy:

  • Xero training
  • QuickBooks training
  • MYOB training (coming soon)
  • Being your business’ CFO

After the courses, monthly support packages are available. These provide support and assistance on an ongoing basis – allowing you to ask question as you go and stay on tack with your objectives.

Business
Coach

Using behavioural approaches, The Numbers Guy helps business owners get a steady income from their business, pay down debt and save more. This includes helping business owners to ‘think more like a CFO’ by embedding the right financial habits, demystifying accounting and tax concepts and understanding what’s driving the numbers.

Tim’s business coaching encompasses his knowledge and skills from 20 years as a CFO, management consultant and auditor. His approaches have been honed working with business owners and senior executives to take action that delivers tangible financial improvements, as well as all the mistakes he’s made starting The Numbers Guy.

Business coaching is also about giving business owners someone to be accountable to and make sure good financial habits are embedded – a challenge when ‘flying solo’ like most business owners are.

Virtual
CFO

A Virtual CFO is the business owner’s finance business partner – solving financial problems, reducing costs, improving the cash position and planning for the future.

The Numbers Guy can deliver the expertise of a CFO on a part time or intermittent basis. This service allows business owners to focus on growing the business and serving their customers. They feel confident about their business’ finances because an experienced and credential CFO is taking care of them.

We help business owners with:

  • Business plans and strategy
  • Budgeting and forecasting
  • Cash flow improvement
  • Commercial analysis and profitability improvement
  • Performance reporting (the right KPI’s for your business)
  • Cost reduction
  • Supporting audits
  • Systems set up and improvements

Bookkeeping
& GST

Sometimes you just need the ‘paperwork’ taken care of to free up your time to focus on running and growing your business.

The Numbers Guy bookkeeping is more than accurate and up-to-date –  is that it is back by Tim’s experience as both a Virtual CFO and a Chartered Accountant. The service includes free quarterly sessions to review and understand the financial reports, and a comprehensive ‘health check’ to ensure information is accurate and your books are prepared in accordance with quality standards.

The Numbers Guy is a full-service bookkeeper, and includes:

  • Accounts Payable, including managing bills and supplier statement reconciliations
  • Accounts Receivable, including debtor management that is one of the most important ways to improve cash flow
  • Monthly reporting
  • BAS preparation and lodgement
  • Payroll
  • Reconciliations
  • Fixed Assets
  • Identify opportunities for improved efficiency and effectiveness for clients’ businesses
  • Liaise with public practice accounts to finalise year-end taxation

Grants &
Incentives

Government grants are an essential part of managing cash flow in a COVID-affected world. When something happens that triggers a grant like COVID-support, business owners need to be focused on business survival. In addition, these grants have complex and changing eligibility requirements best handled by a specialist. Tim has secured over $120,000 in grants for his client base. Tim can help with a broad range of grants and tax incentives, including export EMDG, NSW Export Assistance Scheme, R&D Tax and other industry-specific grants, like RISE and CreateNSW.

SOUND FAMILIAR?

As a small business owner, what financial problems do you face?

Some of these may sound

1.

I’m struggling to manage my day to day cash flow and can’t draw a salary.

2.

I spend my time on finances and admin, I need more time with customers & growing the business.

3.

I’ve heard about all these COVID grants and support, but I have no clue where to start.

4.

Would you like your accountants and bookkeepers to explain the numbers your signing?

5.

I’d like someone to invest in my business or secure a bank loan so we can expand.

6.

I’ve looked at financial reports in my Xero/Quickbooks/MYOB, but I don’t know what to do with them.

You’re not alone. Business owners across Australia face a whole range of challenges – some common, others less so.

We get it, every business is different. Even more so, every business owner is different. We each face our own unique challenges and it’s important to have someone who is capable of customising solutions that meet those exact needs.

Most financial offerings, and particularly your bookkeeper and accountant, base their approach on the financial disciplines. We see this as our foundation, but not the way we add value to our clients. Our strengths lie in the way we work together with our clients. We are able to get closer to our clients and then coach them on how to improve – not just ‘outsource to us’. This comes from Tim’s decade in management consulting in Sydney and London.
